2019 Clinic Schedule

This year, we have an exciting line up of speakers to inspire expo attendees. Their appearance schedule is as follows:

Friday, April 5

Deena Kastor
2004 Olympic bronze medalist in the marathon and American women's recordholder

Lisa Bentley
Lisa Bentley raced for 20 years as a professional triathlete. In the course of her career, she has won 11 IRONMAN races, 11 IRONMAN 70.3 races (1/2 IRONMAN), several top 5 finishes at the IRONMAN World Championships, represented Canada on multiple National Teams and at the Pan American Games and was ranked top 5 in the world for a decade. She competed at the highest level despite having Cystic Fibrosis – a genetic lung disease resulting in chronic infections and limited lung capacity.

Dick Beardsley
Best known for his 1982 Boston Marathon "Duel in the Sun" with Alberto Salazar, Dick is also a two-time Olympic Trials Marathon qualifier. He is a two-time winner of the Grandma's Marathon in Duluth, Minnesota, with a time of winning 2:09:36 and winner of the first London Marathon, with a time of 2:11:48 in 1981. But Dick is more than a running champion. He is a fighter. After a series of near-fatal accidents and a journey of self-discovery, Dick has turned his life around and is enjoying life to its fullest.

Saturday, April 7

Michael Wardian
Prolific marathoner and ultramarathoner; 1st in 2008, 2009, 2010 U.S. 50K Championship; winner 2008 U.S 100K Championship; averaged 2:45:56 running seven marathons on seven continents in seven days.

Hiruni Wijayaratne
Sri Lankan-American track and field athlete, specializing in long distance running events. Hiruni represented Sri Lanka in the 2017 London marathon at the 2017 World Championships in Athletics. Hiruni holds Ten Sri Lankan National Records on road and track events. She ran the Sri Lankan marathon record of 2:36:35 in Houston, Texas, USA during the 2018 Chevron Houston Marathon.
