Race Info
Capitol Hill Competition (CHC) Events:

- 10 Mile: April 12, 2026. Open to Capitol Hill Teams and individuals.
- 5K Presented by ASICS: April 11, 2026. Competition in the 5K is for individuals only. There is NO team competition in the 5K.
- Double Blossom: Double Blossom runners run both events (5K on Saturday and 10 Mile on Sunday). Double Blossom runners can run the 10 Mile as part of a CHC team and the 5K as an individual. There is no Team Competition in the Double Blossom.

About the 10 Mile
The 10 mile is held on a flat, fast course with five water and aid stations on the course. Entrants must complete the 10 mile in under 2:20:00 net time. The 10 mile will start at 7:30 a.m. on Sunday, April 12, 2026. Congressional registration will take place through 11:59 p.m. on February 28, 2025.

About the 5K Presented by ASICS
Please Note: The 5K will take place on Saturday, April 11 (the day before the 10 Mile). In 2026 the 5K will be held on a new course in Arlington, VA. The 5K starts just a couple blocks from our race headquarters hotel at the Crystal Gateway Marriott. The 5K start is easily accessible by the Pentagon City Metro station on the Blue and Yellow lines. We encourage everyone to take Metro to the race.
All 5K runners must finish and be off the course no later than 9:15 a.m.

Congressional Cup: To the fastest House or Senate Team (Agency teams are not eligible)
House Division Teams: 1st, 2nd, 3rd place plaques and one award for BEST TEAM NAME
Senate Division Teams: 1st, 2nd, 3rd place plaques and one award for BEST TEAM NAME
Agency Division Teams: 1st, 2nd, 3rd place plaques and one award for BEST TEAM NAME
Individual Award Categories
House side: Fastest male and female finisher
Senate side: Fastest male and female finisher
Agency side: Fastest male and female finisher
Capitol Hill Competition Packet Pick-up
10 Mile, 5K and Double Blossom Packet Pick-up
Place: U.S. Capitol Visitor Center, Room SVC 210-212 (this is on the Senate side of the CVC).
Dates/Times:
Thursday, April 9: 11:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. (presentation of the check to our Charity beneficiary, Children’s Miracle Network, at 10:30 a.m.)
Friday, April 10: 1:00 p.m. – 4 p.m.
We strongly encourage CHC runners to pick up their bibs and shirts at the CVC. If you are unable to do so, please pick up at the appropriate location below depending on which race you are registered for:
Schedule for Saturday, April 11
- 10 Mile – If you are unable to pick up your packet on Thursday or Friday, you will need to go to the general packet pickup at the National Building Museum on Saturday, April 11. There is no race-day packet pickup for the 10 Mile on Sunday, April 12. Packet pickup will be open from 9:00 a.m. – 4:45 p.m.
- 5K – If you are unable to pick up your packet on Thursday or Friday, you will need to go to the 5K staging area at Virginia Highlands Park (near S. Joyce St. at 15th St.) in Arlington for 5K and Double Blossom runners from 6:30 a.m. – 7:45 a.m. before the 5K to get your race bib and whatever t-shirt you ordered.
- Double Blossom – If you are unable to pick up your packet on Thursday or Friday, you will need to go to the 5K staging area at Virginia Highlands Park (near S. Joyce St. at 15th St.) in Arlington for from 6:30 a.m. – 7:45 a.m. before the 5K to get your race bib (you will wear the same bib for both the 5K and the 10 Mile). Note: If you are a Double Blossom runner and you pick up your race bib at the 5K staging area, you will only be able to pick up your Double Blossom bib and either your cotton standard 10 Mile/5K cotton t-shirt or your 5K upgrade shirt (if you upgraded your shirt choice to the 5K upgrade). If you ordered a Double Blossom or a 10 Mile upgrade shirt (or both), you will need to go to the Health & Fitness Expo after the 5K on Saturday to pick up the upgrade shirt(s) you ordered – there will be no 10 Mile or Double Blossom upgrade shirts at the 5K staging area in Arlington.

Remember, there is NO Race-Day Packet Pickup for the 10 Mile on Sunday morning on the Washington Monument Grounds!
10 Mile Race Day Capitol Hill Competition Tent
On race day, we hope our Capitol Hill Competition 10 Mile and Double Blossom participants will stop by the Capitol Hill Competition tent located on the Washington Monument Grounds before and after your run. Details about the location of this tent will be sent to confirmed entrants shortly before race day.
