Kids Run T-Shirt Design Contest

Are you a blossoming young artist or the parent or guardian of one? We are now accepting designs for the 2026 Credit Union Cherry Blossom Kids Run T-Shirt Art Design Competition. The Credit Union Cherry Blossom Kids Run will take place on Saturday, April 11 at 9:45 a.m. in Arlington, VA at Army-Navy Dr. and S. Fern St., in conjunction with the Credit Union Cherry Blossom 5K presented by ASICS. One of the unique things about our Kids Run is that all participants receive a T- Shirt with artwork on it done by one of the kids!

The deadline for submitting artwork is Monday, February 23, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. EST.

Here are the requirements and some suggestions: 

• • Artists must be between 4 and 10 years of age.
  • Artwork must be original. All 2D media accepted.
  • The artwork must include the name of the race, “Credit Union Cherry Blossom Kids Run” and the year (2026). This can either be incorporated into the art or appear as text underneath the design.
  • Besides the above, we are quite open to different concepts – artists can include or not include cherry blossoms, Memorials, runners, etc. The course this year is near the Pentagon and the Air Force Memorial. This is a chance to unleash your creativity!
  • You may submit up to 5 designs. Please pick your best designs!

The winning artist will receive for use of the artwork:

• • A Visa giftcard for $250
  • A free entry into the Kids Run, which includes one of your t-shirts!
  • Official Cherry Blossom race merchandise.
  • The artist and his or her family will receive lodging at the official Race Headquarters hotel, the Crystal Gateway Marriott in Arlington, VA and invitations to official race functions on race weekend, April 10 – April 12 (2 nights).

A parent or guardian of the winning artist will need to sign a release governing the terms of its use.

2026 10 Mile & 5K T-Shirt Design Contest Now Closed

Thank you for your interest in designing artwork for the Credit Union Cherry Blossom 10 Mile & 5K.  The  T-shirt art design contest for the 2026 race is now closed. The art committee has met and a winner has been selected.

If your design was not selected this year, we will be holding a contest for the 2027 design, so be sure to check back in June 2026 for details on how to submit a design. Thanks to all who submitted this year!
