9:00 am – 5:00 pm Expo open at National Building Museum (packet pickup for 10 Mile closes at 4:45 pm)

11:30 am - 4:30 pm Speakers at the Expo

-- 5K --

7:00 a.m. 5K Packet Pickup opens

7:00 a.m. 5K Bag Check opens

8:45 a.m. 5K Packet Pickup closes

9:13 a.m. 5K Wheelchairs and Duos start

9:15 a.m. 5K Start

10:15 a.m. 5K Awards Ceremony

10:30 a.m. 5K Course closes

 9:30 a.m. Kids Run Packet Pickup at the race staging area opens

9:30 a.m. Kids Run activities start

10:40 a.m. Kids Run Warm-up and Opening Ceremony

10:45 a.m. Kids Run Packet Pickup closes

11:00 a.m. Kids Run starts with first wave of youngest runners

12:00 p.m. Kids Run concludes

 

SUNDAY, APRIL 12, 2026

6:00 a.m. Bike Valet opens

6:15 a.m. 10 Mile bag check opens

6:45 a.m. Corrals open

7:13 a.m. Presentation of the Colors

7:14 a.m. Singing of the National Anthem

7:18 a.m. Advance start for Elite Women

7:20 a.m. Advance start for Duos and Wheelchairs

7:23 a.m. Presentation of the Credit Union Miracle Day Charity Check

7:30 a.m. 10 Mile race starts: Elite male athletes & Yellow Wave #1 start

7:34 a.m. 10M Wave #2 (Red) is sent off

7:39 a.m. 10M Wave #3 (Blue) is sent off

7:45 a.m. 10M Wave #4 (Orange) is sent off

7:50 a.m. 10M Wave #5 (Green) is sent off

7:55 a.m. 10M Wave #6 (Purple) is sent off

7:59 a.m. Last 10-Mile runner crosses the start line

8:00 a.m. 10 Mile starting line closes

8:09 a.m.  First Female 10 Mile Finisher

8:15 a.m. First Male 10 Mile Finisher

9:10 a.m. 10 mile course closes at 5 Miles. Anyone who has not reached 5 Miles by 9:10 a.m. (i.e., anyone running slower than 14 minutes per mile at this point) will be requested to get on the sweep bus.

10:00 a.m. Random awards start

10:15 a.m. Formal Awards ceremony begins

10:18 am 10 Mile course closes except for 15th St.

10:20 am 10 Mile Finish Line is closed

11:00 am Bag Check Closes - All participant bags must be picked up by this time

12:00 pm Bike Valet bike check closes. All bikes must be picked up at this time.

8:00 pm 10-Mile results are posted on the Cherry Blossom website (Note: Live Results will be available on the Race App as they happen.)
