Leaving the Race Site

5K: Participants can use Metrorail to travel to and from the race site. Metro will open at 7:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 5. The closest Metro stops are Federal Triangle and Metro Center (about equi-distant from Freedom Plaza).

10 Mile: Metro is opening early at 5 a.m.  on Sunday, April 6, so that runners can use it both to get to the race site and to leave. The closest Metrorail Station to the start and finish lines is Smithsonian Station on the Blue, Orange, and Silver lines. Customers should also consider using Federal Triangle nearby, which is also on the Blue, Orange, and Silver lines, or L’Enfant Plaza on the Green and Yellow lines just a short walk away.
