  • Clubs can choose to split up to compete as one Men’s team and one Women’s team, or they can choose to compete as one Mixed-gender team.
  • Teams can be of unlimited size; the top 5 runners score.
  • In the Mixed division, the top 2 men score, the top 2 women score, and the remaining scorer can be a man, woman, or nonbinary person.
  • Prize money will be awarded in the Men’s and Women’s divisions: $1,000 for first place, $500 for second place, $250 for third place.
  • Running clubs from the following areas are invited to participate: Washington, DC; Montgomery, Prince George’s or Howard counties in Maryland; Arlington, Fairfax, Prince William or Loudoun counties in Virginia; and Alexandria or Fairfax cities in Virginia.
  • All entrants on a team must be bonafide members of that team and must have resided in one of these areas for at least the past two months.
  • The Team Coordinator reserves the right to evaluate team and team-member eligibility. His decisions are final.

Team Scoring and Awards

Scoring

Team scoring is based on the sum of the official finishing times of the scoring team members as recorded by the MYLAPS Bib Tag. Teams in each division will be ranked in ascending order of times (i.e., lowest aggregate time wins). In case of a tie based on the sum of the times of the scoring team members, the final scoring team member with the faster time will break the tie.
