The 2025 schedule is still being finalized and will be posted here as soon as it becomes available. The schedule is expected to be similar to the 2024 schedule, which appears below:

2024 Race Weekend Schedule

FRIDAY, April 5, 2024

— National Building Museum —

2:00 pm – 8:00 pm Expo open at National Building Museum (packet pickup for 10 Mile, Double Blossom, 5k and Kids Run closes at 7:45 pm)

 

SATURDAY, APRIL 6, 2024

— National Building Museum —

9:00 am – 5:00 pm Expo open at National Building Museum (packet pickup for 10 Mile closes at 4:45 pm)

11:00 am – 3:30 pm Speakers at the Expo. Click Here for the Full Speaker Schedule.

— Freedom Plaza – 5K —

7:00 am Metro Opens for travel to the race

7:00 am Race Day packet pick-up for the 5K opens at Freedom Plaza

7:15 am 5K Bag Check Opens at Pennsylvania Ave. near 14th St.

8:45 am Race Day packet pick-up for the 5K closes at Freedom Plaza

9:15 am 5K Start

9:29 am First Male Finisher of 5K

9:31 am First Female Finisher of 5K

10:15 am 5K Awards Ceremony Starts

10:30 am 5K Course Closes

8:00 pm 5K results are posted on the Cherry Blossom website (Note: Live Results will be available on the Race App as they happen.)

9:30 am – 10:45 am Kids Run Packet Pickup at Freedom Plaza

11:00 am – 12:00 pm Kids Run at Freedom Plaza

 

SUNDAY, APRIL 7, 2024
— Washington Monument Grounds —

5:00 am Metro Opens for travel to the race

6:00 am Bike Valet opens

6:15 am 10 Mile bag check opens

6:45 am Corrals open

7:13 am Navy Ceremonial Guard presents the Colors

7:14 am Singing of the National Anthem by Choral Arts Society of Washington

7:18 am Advance start for elite women

7:20 am Presentation of the Credit Union Miracle Day Charity Check

7:28 am Wheelchair and Duo Racers start (with CUCB motorcycle leading)

7:30 am 10 Mile race starts: Elite male athletes & Yellow Wave #1 start

7:34 am 10M Wave #2 (Red) is sent off

7:39 am 10M Wave #3 (Blue) is sent off

7:45 am 10M Wave #4 (Orange) is sent off

7:50 am 10M Wave #5 (Green) is sent off

7:55 am 10M Wave #6 (Purple) is sent off

7:59 am Last 10-Mile runner crosses the start line

8:00 am 10 Mile starting line closes

8:09 am  First Female 10 Mile Finisher

8:15 am First Male 10 Mile Finisher

9:10 am 10 mile course closes at 5 Miles. Anyone who has not reached 5 Miles by 9:10 am (i.e., anyone running slower than 14 minutes per mile at this point) will be requested to get on the sweep bus.

10:00 am Random awards start

10:15 am Formal Awards ceremony begins

10:18 am 10 Mile course closes except for 15th St.

10:20 am 10 Mile Finish Line is closed

11:00 am Bag Check Closes – All participant bags must be picked up by this time

11:30 am Two Wheel Valet bike check closes

8:00 pm 10-Mile results are posted on the Cherry Blossom website (Note: Live Results will be available on the Race App as they happen.)
