Credit Union Cherry Blossom 10 Mile & 5K Capitol Hill Competition
Welcome to the special Congressional Registration website for the Credit Union Cherry Blossom 10 Mile, 5K and Double Blossom.
Capitol Hill Registration is now OPEN. It will remain open until 11:59 p.m. on Feb. 28.
Race Info
Capitol Hill Competition (CHC) Events:
- 10 Mile: April 6, 2025. Open to Capitol Hill Teams and individuals.
- 5K Presented by ASICS: April 5, 2025. Competition in the 5K is for individuals only. There is NO team competition in the 5K.
- Double Blossom: Double Blossom runners run both events (5K on Saturday and 10 Mile on Sunday). Double Blossom runners can run the 10 Mile as part of a CHC team and the 5K as an individual. There is no Team Competition in the Double Blossom.
Registration
To run the Credit Union Cherry Blossom 10 Mile, the 5K, or the Double Blossom, you must register.
Fees are as follows (all fees include a standard cotton t-shirt; you will be given the opportunity to upgrade your shirt to an ASICS performance t-shirt and/or purchase a medal, a photo package, etc., if you wish):

- 10 Mile – $58 for an individual entry, plus a service fee.
- 5K – $47, plus a service fee.
- Double Blossom – $105 (5K on Saturday, April 5 and 10 Mile on Sunday, April 6), plus a service fee.
- Team Fee – $20 per team, plus a service fee (this is a one-time fee paid by the Team Captain; individual team members do not pay any additional Team Fees).
Note: If you order any additional items, such as a t-shirt upgrade or medal, there will be an added service fee for these additional items.
Registration Paths
There are two paths to register, one for Team Captains and the other for Individual Runners and Runners who wish to run on a team created by a Team Captain.

- A Team Captain who wants to Create a Team AND register for the 10 Mile and run on that team.
- A Team Captain who does not want to run any of the races, but still wants to Create a Team.
Click the second button below (Individuals and Non-Team Captains Click Here to Register) if you are:
- An Individual Runner who wants to register for the race AND sign up for a CHC 10 Mile Team created by your Team Captain.
- An Individual Runner who just wants to register for the 10 Mile, 5K or Double Blossom as an Individual, not as part of a CHC 10 Mile Team.
About the 10 Mile
The 10 mile is held on a flat, fast course with five water and aid stations on the course. Entrants must complete the 10 mile in under 2:20:00 net time. The 10 mile will start at 7:30 a.m. on Sunday, April 6, 2025. Congressional registration will take place through 11:59 p.m. on February 28, 2025.

About the 5K Presented by ASICS
Please Note: The 5K will take place on Saturday, April 5 (the day before the 10 Mile) and will stage on Freedom Plaza and traverse the route of Presidential Inaugurations down Pennsylvania Avenue before crossing the National Mall in the shadow of the Capitol Building and returning by the same route. Congressional registration will take place through 11:59 p.m. on February 28, 2025.
The 5K Presented by ASICS will begin at 9:15 a.m. on Saturday, April 5, 2025. All 5K runners must finish and be off the course no later than 10:30 a.m.

Team Award Categories
Congressional Cup: To the fastest House or Senate Team
House Division Teams: 1st, 2nd, 3rd place plaques and one award for BEST TEAM NAME
Senate Division Teams: 1st, 2nd, 3rd place plaques and one award for BEST TEAM NAME
Agency Division Teams: 1st, 2nd, 3rd place plaques and one award for BEST TEAM NAME
Individual Award Categories
House side: Fastest male and female finisher
Senate side: Fastest male and female finisher
Agency side: Fastest male and female finisher

Capitol Hill Competition Packet Pickup
10 Mile, 5K and Double Blossom Packet Pick-up
Credit Union Cherry Blossom Capitol Hill packet pick-up will take place on Thursday, April 3 and Friday, April 4 in the U.S. Capitol Visitor Center. Anyone who cannot make it to the Capitol Visitor Center on Thursday or Friday will have to pick up their packet at either the National Building Museum (10 Mile) or the 5K staging area at Freedom Plaza (5K and Double Blossom) on Saturday, April 5 (details below).
Schedule for Thursday, April 3 at the Capitol Visitor Center
- 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Packet pick-up at the Capitol Visitor Center
- 10:45 a.m. – Press conference and a presentation of the check to our Charity beneficiary, Credit Union Miracle Day
- 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. Two elite athletes will greet CHC runners and offer tips and advice on running, race strategy etc.
Schedule for Thursday, April 4 at the Capitol Visitor Center
- 2 p.m. – 5 p.m. Packet pick-up at the Capitol Visitor Center
Schedule for Saturday, April 5
- 10 Mile – If you are unable to pick up your packet on Thursday or Friday, you will need to go to the general packet pickup at the National Building Museum on Saturday, April 5. There is no race-day packet pickup for the 10 Mile on Sunday, April 6. Packet pickup will be open from 9:00 a.m. – 4:45 p.m.
- 5K – If you are unable to pick up your packet on Thursday or Friday, you will need to go to the 5K race staging area at Freedom Plaza general packet pickup from 7 a.m. – 8:45 a.m. before the 5K to get your race bib and whatever t-shirt you ordered.
- Double Blossom – If you are unable to pick up your packet on Thursday or Friday, you will need to go to the 5K race staging area at Freedom Plaza general packet pickup from 7 a.m. – 8:45 a.m. before the 5K to get your race bib (you will wear the same bib for both the 5K and the 10 Mile). Note: If you are a Double Blossom runner and you pick up your race bib at Freedom Plaza, if you chose to get a standard cotton t-shirt at registration, you will be able to pick that up at Freedom Plaza. However, if you ordered an upgrade shirt at registration, you will have to go to the Health & Fitness Expo at the National Building Museum after the 5K to collect your upgrade shirt.

Remember, there is NO Race-Day Packet Pickup for the 10 Mile on Sunday morning on the Washington Monument Grounds!
10 Mile Race Day Capitol Hill Competition Tent
On race day, we hope our Capitol Hill Competition 10 Mile and Double Blossom participants will stop by the Capitol Hill Competition tent located on the Washington Monument Grounds before and after your run. Details about the location of this tent will be sent to confirmed entrants shortly before race day.
